Dr. Hannah Barbash


Hannah Barbash, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who earned her doctorate at the University of Hartford and completed postdoctoral training at the William Alanson White Institute and the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services. Dr. Barbash believes in a collaborative therapeutic process and values openness and authenticity from both sides of the room. Theoretically based in psychodynamic theory, she tailors each treatment to the individual, often by incorporating CBT, humanistic, and mindfulness based interventions. Dr. Barbash understands human beings as first and foremost social creatures and specializes in navigating various types of interpersonal relationships and relational systems. She also works with wide range of clients working respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, sexual-identity and -orientation backgrounds.

In addition to providing psychotherapy at SYNC Psychological Services, Dr. Barbash provides neuropsychological and cognitive evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults who struggle in school and the work place.
