Nina Germain, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, completed her graduate studies at Smith College School for Social Work. She conducted her graduate training in school based early childhood in Berkeley, California as well as with asylum seekers in New York City at the legal aid organization Human Rights First. As a graduate student, she trained in Sand Tray Play therapy and Interpersonal Therapy. She has completed post graduate training in Trauma Informed Psychotherapy at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP), and Relational/Interpersonal Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the William Alanson White Institute. Nina is currently training in the Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Certificate Program at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute.

Nina has extensive experience working in early childhood and outdoor education. Additionally, she worked in college counseling at the Jewish Theological Seminary supporting students navigating the transitional experiences and stress of college. Prior to becoming a therapist she worked as a preschool teacher in Portland, Oregon, where she also studied and taught Yoga. She has also lived and worked in Argentina. In her free time Nina maintains an art practice with a focus on craft, materials, and the natural world.

Nina's therapeutic style is interpersonal and collaborative. Her aim as a psychodynamic therapist is to assist in reflection and exploration, to offer her insight and perspective when useful, and to provide a space for the myriad parts of the self to become known.
